I made a thing.

And it’s full of kaleidoscopic light just for you.

My darling dreamer,

How is this moment finding you?

Are you bathing beneath a bright sun and soaking up its touch, or resting in the long cool shadow it casts, a respite from the fiery heat?

Are you simmering inside a long twisting tunnel, yearning for a sliver of light to cut through the darkness so that you may feel some spark of hope? of relief?

Are you being sunk by storms of sadness, tossed around by waves of grief?

Are you treading water to keep from drowning, or are you learning to rise above and walk across safely to the shores of solid ground?

I’m a big believer that wherever you are at is exactly where you’re meant to be.

You are not ever as alone as you may feel…ever. And not all is lost.

No matter how long you’ve been travelling or how difficult the terrain is to traverse, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

I wrote this song during a particularly dark time in our shared human experience to be a beacon for those who desperately needed one, myself included.

It is an anthem for those walking the path of the heart.

A celebration of our innate resilience to withstand, and to keep our inner spark lit.

We are more alike and more connected than we ever realize.

In response to the media messaging that wants us to forget this, I say:

“I will be that light for you and you can be that light for me.”

brand spankin’ new kaleidoscopic groovy* video

Before I flew out to Vancouver in July, I took this footage of one of the most perfect summer evenings I have ever experienced in all of my life. It was STUNNING.

There was so much beauty in the light, in the birdsong, in the summer air that I could not keep it all for myself.

Yesterday, I followed an impulse that would not let me ignore it, and experimented with pairing this footage with my song Be That Light.

It matched so well I got goosebumps.

For those of you who’ve been with me from the beginning, this song won’t be new to you. I first posted it waaaaay back in what feels like another century- 2023.

How wild is it that 3 years feels like a lifetime ago?

(Maybe it’s just me)
